Color has always been at the heart of South Asian identity. Whether it is the vivid turmeric of a Haldi ceremony or the vibrant threads of Sri Lankan textiles, color symbolizes unity, renewal, and resilience. At the Courtney Jordan Foundation in Sri Lanka, we draw from these traditions to remind us that communities thrive when culture and progress move hand in hand.
The Courtney Jordan Foundation in Sri Lanka is not just a philanthropic organization , it is a bridge. As part of a global foundation active in 5 countries, the Sri Lanka chapter brings the resources, expertise, and partnerships of an international network into direct alignment with local needs.
From classrooms in Colombo to villages in the Central Province, our work demonstrates how global partnerships can translate into local impact.
Measuring Our Impact
We believe that philanthropy must be both human and measurable. In 2024–2025, the Courtney Jordan Foundation in Sri Lanka delivered the following outcomes:
Education & Skills Training 200+ students enrolled in literacy and digital skills programs. Partnership with U.S. universities to provide English language and STEM curriculum support. Healthcare & Nutrition 80 rural residents served through mobile health units. 8 community nutrition workshops addressing childhood malnutrition. Youth Empowerment 50 young leaders trained in civic engagement and entrepreneurship. Launch of the Global Youth Exchange Program linking Sri Lankan students with peers in North Carolina and Washington, D.C. Cultural Preservation Grants awarded to 15 local artisans to safeguard traditional crafts. Annual cultural festival in Jaffna showcasing Sri Lanka’s diverse heritage to global audiences.
Why Impact Matters
The Courtney Jordan Foundation in Sri Lanka is rooted in three guiding principles:
Transparency – We openly share progress metrics with stakeholders. Accountability – Every program is evaluated against global development standards. Community-Centered – Local voices shape the solutions we deliver.
By staying grounded in these principles, the foundation ensures that every dollar, partnership, and volunteer effort creates sustainable and measurable change.
A Global Legacy with Local Roots
Just as turmeric in a Haldi ceremony is believed to ward off negativity and prepare for new beginnings, the Courtney Jordan Foundation in Sri Lanka works to create protective networks of education, wellness, and opportunity.
By linking Sri Lanka to the global Courtney Jordan Foundation network, we are proving that collaboration between Asia and the United States can foster innovation, resilience, and hope.
Looking Ahead
Our next phase of work in Sri Lanka focuses on:
Expanding digital literacy programs in rural schools. Launching women-led entrepreneurship initiatives in Kandy and Batticaloa. Scaling our healthcare partnerships to reach an additional 20,000 residents by 2026.
These initiatives reflect our belief that impact must be both visible today and sustainable tomorrow.
At the Courtney Jordan Foundation in Sri Lanka, every program tells a story of culture, resilience, and progress. By combining global resources with local wisdom, we ensure that Sri Lanka’s communities are not only served but also celebrated.
Because when Asia and the United States are linked through purpose-driven philanthropy, the result is simple: global partnerships, local impact.
